The aim of their collaboration is to help MEDecision comply with and take advantage of the ICD-10 diagnosis code set. The ICD-10 codes, which will be required as of October 1, 2013, have greater granularity than the current ICD-9 codes because they're far more numerous and specific.

The new app, available March 30 through Apple's iTunes store, will allow clinicians to access patient records from smartphones, tablets and other portable devices, the company says.
