InFrame™ is a collaborative health information exchange (HIE) service that connects care delivery organizations to each other and to their patients. It provides a simple and smart way for providers to extend their services, market reach and brand to drive growth while managing operational costs.

InFrame addresses the increasing need to exchange clinical data across systems. It enables care delivery organizations to leverage HIE to enhance revenues, extend brand and better manage operational costs by exchanging clinical data in real-time with referring physicians and patients.

InFrame is a comprehensive, yet flexible, HIE platform. It fully complies with the interoperability standards established by the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative, a global collaborative of virtually all the major healthcare IT vendors. InFrame distinguishes itself from other HIE solutions by offering capabilities required to maximize and streamline referrals, support telehealth arrangements among partner facilities, and otherwise extend and expand an organization's brand and geographic reach. The product features an unrivaled ability to exchange medical images, vendor-neutral plug-and-play integration with dozens of EMRs, PACS, PHRs and other clinical applications, a highly flexible architecture, and a privacy and security model based on industry standards.

InFrame benefits care delivery organizations by:

  • Enabling the strengthening and scaling of business and brand by fostering referral network growth, enhancing patient satisfaction and extending care delivery service area.
  • Decreasing overall operational costs by streamlining the intake of external information, including imaging, labs and other history and simplifying the distribution of imaging and other results to referrers, patients and additional external parties.
  • Offering a smart investment for long-term dividends. InFrame's Software as a Service (SaaS) model ensures against technology obsolescence while minimizing overall cost of ownership. Its fully interoperable framework supports seamless integration with multiple EHRs, PHRs, HIEs and even NHIN, which will enable compliance with meaningful use criteria for 2011 and beyond.

InFrame Components:

  • Master Person Index
Identifies and links an individual patient's disparate clinical records from across multiple systems or locations.

  • Record Locator
Locates clinical information, enabling care providers to find and access necessary data when needed.

  • Document Repositories
Locations to which clinical data is stored during the publication process and from which it can be retrieved by others outside the enterprise. Multiple repositories are supported for federated or hybrid HIE architectures.

  • Interoperability Engine
Establishes the interfaces to multiple clinical systems and performs the translations and transformations to enable legacy systems to exchange with one another on the basis of the latest industry interoperability standards.

  • Privacy and Security Engine
Controls data access by determining what resources are available to what roles under what conditions. It provides role-based access controls with unlimited granularity and ensures optimal authentication, encryption and auditing.

  • Web Portal
Provides end-users with a Web interface to access otherwise scattered data. It is highly customizable to meet client-specific branding and marketing requirements.

  • Imaging Server and Client
Enables the exchange of diagnostic images across a network and allows users to visualize, navigate and manipulate them accordingly.
