Technology
Standards-Based Interoperability for Healthcare
Overview
MEDecision leverages standards such as DICOM, HL7, SOAP, ebXML
and numerous others to successfully integrate enterprises and their
legacy systems, enabling our customers to retrieve and use data
free of platform restrictions.
Our Nexalign® platform enables even those devices using legacy
or proprietary data interfaces to connect to a health information
exchange (HIE). This empowers them to communicate using robust
standards vetted by Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) -
the leading international initiative for advancing plug-and-play
interoperability between healthcare information systems and
organizations.
MEDecision is an active member of IHE, implementing technology
solutions that realize next-generation healthcare networks. Our
systems have been exhaustively tested against those of other
healthcare IT vendors in numerous configurations and clinical
simulation environments through millions of transactions. This
enables us to ensure that an organization's vital healthcare data
is communicated securely, responsively and completely.
Certifications and Standards
In addition to its Web services framework and service oriented
architecture, Nexalign provides the widest possible range of
IHE-compliant components for building standards-based HIEs that
adhere to federal and regional requirements.
Nexalign has passed all tests at IHE Connectathon events for
the following integration profiles:
