Dr. Carolyn Smith is a noted healthcare leader and retired rheumatologist. Dr. Smith’s career included leadership roles at health systems and VA hospitals across the United States, while also serving on multiple credentials boards and bioethics boards. She attended the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and the Neiswanger Institute of Bioethics where she pursued a Masters in Bioethics
