DALLAS, TX – Oct. 16, 2018 – Medecision, the leader in population health and care management solutions, announced today its Aerial Complex Care Management™ and Aerial Insights™ solutions are among the first in the nation to earn Population Health Management Prevalidation status by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in 2018. The NCQA Prevalidation for Population Health Management, a new designation for NCQA, identifies technology solutions that have functionality and practices that help health plans and other organizations meet population health management-related standards in NCQA accreditation programs.

NCQA accreditation is a widely recognized symbol of quality, and organizations that have achieved it have passed a rigorous and comprehensive review. Many of our clients are industry pioneers in managing population health, tackling the most complex populations and patients with comprehensive risk stratification and enterprise care coordination and management operations. By earning this prevalidation status, Medecision helps them eliminate some of the administrative burden of getting accredited, allowing them to focus instead on improving the health care outcomes and experiences for their members.

The NCQA prevalidation program is distinct from existing NCQA certifications and accreditations. With this new designation, Medecision can provide its clients with a Letter of Eligibility for certain accreditation standards. Health plans or other organizations that use NCQA prevalidated health IT solutions may benefit from easier document preparation, in addition to saving time and alleviating administrative effort associated with meeting requirements.

Our relationship with the NCQA reflects our commitment to delivering a powerful technology solution to support clinical quality outcomes and overall population health management. Making it easier for our clients to achieve their goals is at the heart of everything we do.
