With work that has taken her around the world, Chris LaVictoire Mahai has a unique perspective on how leaders drive material and positive outcomes in today’s global marketplace. Clients have called her a “practical brainiac” and “change catalyst” because she partners with them to create customer-driven strategies, diagnose performance and align one with the other in ways that achieve the best outcomes.
Chris is President of Aveus, a global strategy consultancy that is now a division of Medecision. She also leads our People Resources team. And, Chris is an author. In her just released (Fall, 2018) book, BOLD, Mahai provides invaluable insights into the characteristics and requirements of leadership in times of transformational change. In her earlier book, ROAR, Chris explores what it takes to drive the best possible customer and business performance outcomes through the lenses of speed, predictability, flexibility and leverage.
Chris brings a progressive corporate career to Aveus. She held several executive positions at Cowles Media/Star Tribune, leading to a role as senior vice president and general manager of markets and products. Chris also spent nearly fifteen years in the financial services industry, including several executive positions at First Bank (now U.S. Bank).
Chris has also been an active member of corporate and non-profit boards and has a legacy of investments in women-owned and led businesses. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Hamline University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She also completed the Northwestern University N.M.C. Advanced Executive program.
